I stand by my statement. It was a mean-spirited review written by an individual who was not (at least by example of his writing) going to give Pat one bit bit of the "props" he deserved. To me, that is being closed-minded. Pat is one of the finest soloists many of us have ever heard, recorded or live. Reading the review in question( can anyone find a copy of it?) , most of the folks I spoke with found it to be nothing but "bashing". We work too hard trying to earn repect for our instruments to not get at least a bit upset when someone tees off on one of our finest performers.
