I suspect these instruments were brought after I moved away from San Antonio. Their other brand that they (and they alone) seemed to sell was Vespro, which was made in Kliengenthal, and therefore, I presume, by VMI. I would not be surprised to discover that Wurzbach instruments came from the same source.

Wurzbach is the name of a VERY major street on the northwest side of San Antonio. It is just one artifact of the strong German heritage of that city, stemming from a major migration of Germans, Czechs, and Poles to the area in the late 1800's. For a city with such strong Hispanic roots, there sure are lots of polka-band opportunities.
