Thank you for your response about the St Petersburg tubas. I don't know what I a going to do.
This is why I want a CC (or Gotta have) Tuba.
I am a 21 year old Music Education Major. I have played on lots of different horns to get a feel for what I like. I marched drum corps called blue devils and play on a G Kanstul Contrabass Grande Bugle. I also played on the new prototype Dynasty Marching Bb tubas there. A BBb miraphone here and there, and a small F yamaha. And finally settled on a Miraphone CC 186 5V. AFter playing on all these horns and playing in very different circumstances (such as different kinds of music) I have found that the CC horn just fits my sound better. I can wail on notes that seem wierd to me on BBb. On my CC horn everything speaks so much better for me. I don't know if it is just the horn I have now (it is a school horn) or if it is all CC's but that is why I chose to play on a CC. It was the nicest horn at my school and it was something new to learn. Did what i justsaid made sense.
