'German Silver' is a combination of metals as described in this URL:

The hardness of German Silver ranges from mild to wild depending on the material content. It's primary purpose is both appearance and durability. In order to be durable, it has to be hard.... to hard to work into tight 180 degree bends required for musical instruments. Most of the parts I've seen made from 'German Silver' or 'nickel silver' are limited to straight sections of tubing or fairly mild bends. This stuff is akin to stainless steel without the iron content. I would suspect that a stainless steel horn would yield very good musical properties but would be next to impossible to construct.
