With all the discussion about the Rudy Meinl 3/4 CC's I went to their web site and noticed that they also have a 3/4 BBb. The two horns looked very similiar and I was wondering if their playing characteristics also were similiar? Anybody know?
Was one derived from the other?
My high school back in the 1970's bought 4/4 Rudy Meinl's. They were bought at different times and all were very different in terms of response, sound etc. There seemed to be no consistency. Is that still true today or are the horns more consistent these days?
I came to band one day and my band director leaned over a wooden packing crate and handed me this new horn - the name of which I had never heard of. I loved that Rudy - nicest and sweetest horn I ever played. I truly enjoyed playing it and wish I owned it.
