Although I'm not sure how you draw the line between a large 3/4 and a small 4/4 tuba, I rember trying out a 3/4 Rudy CC about a year ago. Having been a Besson 983 Eb player at the time, I thought the character or "size" of the 3/4 Rudy was fairly close to that of the 983 Eb, although the actual "voice" of the two horns was different. So I'd vote to keep the 3/4 Rudy in the 3/4 category. There's one opinion . . . .
