The guys you mentioned are spectacular players. I'm not sure every last one of them would be on my list of spectacular teachers. I'd recommend some of Mr. Jacob's disciples who have had the opportunity to teach advanced students regularly. Fritz Kaenzig, Rex Martin and Dave Fedderly are all excellent musicians and teachers who really understand song & wind as closely as anyone alive right now. Mr. Fedderly isn't teaching at Peabody anymore, but is teaching privately, I think. And of course, Northwestern and Michigan are very inspiring schools even without considering the teachers. I'm learning right now that graduate school is much more than just the lessons.
