A long time ago I sold a Miraphone 188 and bought a tuba just like yours. The RM fit in the 188 case.

GWW (the Wisconsin company that makes those "regular ol" wood tuba cases) has done a major upgrade and offers (through a few suppliers) a "new" model with a cordura nylon exterior (instead of that black gauze-backed bumpy stuff), a (continuous) "piano" hinge, extra corner brackets, butterfly latches, heavy-duty wheels, and a strap on the inside that holds the instrument's bell away from the end of the case (more airline resistant).

These aren't too expensive (I know there must be a "188" model by now), and I like 'em fine.

If this sounds OK, why not call one of those 2 guys who are always on here sniffin' out biznes?
