Jon, you're preaching to the choir on this one. As a fulltime Bluegrass fiddler, I suffered from CTS for a number of years in the mid eighties. It was so bad, my arm would go to sleep after about twenty minute's playing; the fingers went numb and I was done for the night. I had "The Operation" done on my left wrist and now I'm tiptop. I also know EXACTLY what you are talking about tubawise, as my arm would go to sleep every time I extended my left arm up over the tubing. Since the operation, I don't feel any numbness playing the tuba, either. Hope this has helped.
