Just a question-- more for the technicians out there than for Mark F. specifically.

Q: How would this be best done on a piston valve cap? The diameter is too small for a nut that big, and there must still be a vent hole provided in the cap. I suppose one could float a brass tube of some sort in there while filling in w/ lead.

Also, would the joint (and subsequent mass coupling) be as solid, given the fact some valve caps out there don't have a nice flat zone on the bottom (for instance, a King/new Conn valve cap)

How would you experts out there go about it??

Congrats on something that we can all try for a lot less $$ than other mods! I'm looking for some mega-nuts for my old Conn now (which does have nice flat caps). . .
