The OU connection is new information to me. It's seems typical of how things sometimes happen, expecially in those times.

Mr. Jacobs told me that he had sent #2 York to a repairman (whose name you would recognize but no longer has an active business) for some work where sayed for months and months. When he finally went down to pick it up, he found that the repairman had takes the fifth valve (or some parts to it) off and used them on another instrument which was long gone!

Jake said he got mad and sold the horn. He had lost track of it when I was with him but thought it was in New York.

Eventually, of course, it was located and bought by him.

Anybody know the details of how Harvey's Conn got run over by an airplane?
