Since no one has mentioned EEb's, let me throw in and oar for the 2 step 5th valve. I find that most of the low register is better and more in tune with the 2 step long 5th slide. I get alternate fingerings for low Gb and low Bb making rapid runs more readily playable in more different situations. I also love the low Eb (12345) fingering since the sound is more easily controlable than as an open pedal tone.
But my horn has a convertible 5th valve, in case I become convinced to use the flat 1st set up.
