I have two 582 gold lacquer horns in my high school tuba section, along
with a conn 5j, and a yamaha front action 3 valve. The jupiters have been very dependable instruments. They have a very nice sound, are very free-blowing, and have kept fairly repair free. (You know how some high school kids can get). The wraps have been very easy to work with, and the slides are easily moveable and accessable.

As my program grows, I will buy more of these. They have the sound that band directors dream of for under $3000. (of course, the right mouthpiece and practice are needed).

The only reason I don't have 4 of them is because I was able to find the 5j for under $1000, and the school already had the yamaha.
