I tried one of these out at Dillons before buying my current tuba. I went back and forth between it and the one I eventually bought quite a few times before making my decision. I really liked they way the Jupiiter played and it was a tough decision. The Jupiter is a free blowing horn with a nice sound. Matt did say that the quality of the Jupiter tubas has improved, although the finishing isn't quite up to the level of the top brands.
I believe that the price for one of these new was around $3500. I think that the "Buy It Now" price for this was $3000, which is very reasonable. All that said, I would suggest at least playing on one of these before buying one on eBay. Ideally you should play this specific horn. It may be the best horn in the world, and still not right for you based on your playing style.
