I bought a Willson about two years ago because it was the horn of my dreams (after playing 4 others) but I would like to play an MW someday. They are well thought of. The Willson 3400 is a good substitute for the ubiquitous 4/4 CC. It has a fine lower register (Double Pedal G) and a singing top end. I have an older (1912) Conn EEb which is a very good horn but, given the valve difference (5 vs. 3) is significant, the Willson would be a better horn even if it had only three valves. But I still want to play an MW someday.
