Yes,
I bought the Amati F from Sheffey Gregory. Since his primary playing for several years has been in the Chattanooga area brass band, he told me he had not played the horn in years, and offered it to me. At the December Conference here in Atlanta, Mike Russo of BW and Michael Moore both gave it a play, and seemed to think it had quite a low register, particularly the low Bb. I'm scheduled to solo with the Band on our April tour to Kentucky and Indiana, and will play the Amati.
The only new horn that offers this valve configuration that I know of is one of the two Walter Hilgers model F tubas from Melton (Meinl-Weston). I've yet to play a Walter Hilgers model tuba that I didn't like.
