I took my mp to basic and got good use out of it. I took a little ribbing for it but I was much more in shape when I left basic. I was even able to partake in a tuba sectional at the band the day of gradutation. I was happy when I still knew which end of the horn to blow into. Nowdays the training company will not let you do anything outside of their training schedule until after grad. They've got you 24-7 for ten weeks. Have fun.
