Once on my Yamaha I had a similar problem the plastic piece at the top on the valve has a notch that keeps it inline (What is this piece called??) will were down and allow the valve to turn slightly in the casing out of its goove, since it still there still is a small notch gets stuck in the casing. Check that peice and if it is worn or not in place buy a new one.
