Check out www.customs.ustreas.gov, they are going to want their pound of flesh as well. I'm trying to recall information that is a year old, but I think they want six percent on musical instruments. The instrument will be impounded and you will have to fill out papers to import it and pay their fee. Did the selling company suggest they would handle the paper work and charges? Sometimes the shipping company will.
