I would say that it is definatly a pro quality horn. Solid sound, response, and intonation. The sound was big for a small horn, but it would not be my personal choice for orchestra. . . seemed like it would be great for solo, band, or quintet, though. Kind of similar to the Getzen G50 in sound and size. . . something like the old Conns that Harvey Phillips used to play, but the sound and intonation were better than any old Conn I have tried. . .
