With all the talk recently about tuba stands and back pain, I have a question. Are there any tuba stands that rest on the floor and are really useable for serious playing? I have an old Stewart stand I got 14-15 years ago and used briefly on a MW25 before I sold the horn and tucked it away. I am toying with the idea of just getting a longer pole and resting it on the floor like a cello. Anyone ever tried this?
