I have an old horn that needs an overhaul but I can't afford it in the near future. The pistons have some blow buy and when I oil them using Al Cass valve oil the horn plays great. The Al Cass oil only last for about an hour before another dose is required to fill up the space. My question is.....is there a better oil for this situation or some kind of silicone spray lub that will do a better job? I have tried space filler but it seems to discolor the valves. I have also tried using vaseline and Al Cass in combo but the pistons lag a bit. Any sugestions besides buying a new horn would be greatly appriciated and some day I will spend the money to get a complete overhaul when the back account permits.
