As a recreational tubist, I'm just now considering replacing the valve springs, so I will ask a naive question. Are the springs specific to manufacturer and model or are they interchangeable? Are different tension strengths available ie. stronger springs to improve valve response time? Has technology affected spring construction and material the same way technology has affected valve construction? Is this a do it yourself job?
