That would be Pat Landolfi, (my teacher during the mid '80s), of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra for numerous decades. I believe he was one of the last of the Bell students when Bell taught at Manhattan School of Music, and also studied with Arnold Jacobs. His main horn is an older 3/4 Rudy (he has two that are near identical) that he also uses for quintets and he uses a 4/4 MW F. I played his 3/4 Rudy once in a lesson and it does sound and feel like a 4/4. Yes, he is a monster player. He has one of the biggest and cleanest attacks of almost any player. What his horns lack in size, he makes up for in clarity and accuracy and always can be cleanly heard on every note he plays. Projection via precision, not forcing! Last I heard he still practices many hours a day and still takes lessons. Definitely one of the best 'unknown' players.
