I used to use a PT-44 and it is a good piece. In my opinion it is better than the helleberg but that is just me and I can't promise that you will feel the same way. At any rate, I felt like there was more to my sound with the PT-44. That having been said, I feel like there is more to my sound with my current mouthpiece, which is a PT-48. There is a brochure that Custom has that lists the dimensions of the mouthpieces and talks in general terms about their playing characteristics. That having been said, the brochure is no substitute for sitting down and playing the mouthpieces right next to each other and deciding wich works best for you. You can do that at Custom, or, to answer your other question, I believe the WW&BW has Perantucci products as well. At least they used to. I will put the Custom Music link below if you want to check it out, or you can call them at 1-800-521-6380.

Hope I helped,
Mike
