Based on my own experience with repair of a shipping mangled horn and the testimony of virtually everyone, I'd recommend Dillon in Woodbridge New Jersey most highly. At least for tuba work, they seem to be the first choice of the top professionals. Their prices are fair and reasonable for what they do and their skill levels.

My professional trumpet-playing friends swear by Chuck McAlexander at Brasslab in lower Manhattan and, through them, he has done some minor work on my daughter's trumpets. He also seems to be very fair and to do first rate work.
