I would have to disagree with the opening the jaw idea. This type of physical approach will lead down the wrong path. It is also inviting even more air inefficiency problems.
I also recall a concept Roger Bobo teaches about cognac breaths vs beer breaths or somesuch. Has to do with quick breaths, sorta like Bill Bell's sniff breaths, vs topping off the tank when conditions permit. Any Bobo students care to straighten out my foggy memory?
