When I've first got serious about playing the tuba, after I would finish my homework in high school I would practice from 4 to 8 hours a day. On our days off of school (weekends) I would practice from the time my parents would get up in the morning until night that is until my parents would tell me to cut it out. This continued all of the way up through college. I would practice the tuba before I would go out with my girfriend. She'd be ready to go somewhere but I'd always be late. I'd be at home playing the tuba. She'd wanted to go to the movie, however when we've got there, the movie would be halfway over with. I've went through several girlsfriends because of the tuba. For now time has gotten shorter for me. Do to me working I don't have as many as 8 hours. Now I practice 2 hours a day. Maybe every now and then I'd practice 4 hours or more , that is whenever I have an orchestra excerp or solo that is extremely dificullt.
