I'd put a fifth valve there (I can't speak for Hirsbrunner) so that it has a larger bore and/or so that it allows for a more open wrap.I'm no judge of intonation problems so I'll leavethat to those with more expertise.
Of course,I am not an expert on tuba design either,mainly because I do not build them,and those I think about designing would be too expensive to build,or require that the laws of nature be defied.
