There's not a thing wrong with "oom-pah" music. Often, it's really fun stuff.
What IS wrong is the bad playing of the "oom-pah" tuba players who can't
play their horns; i.e., bad intonation, lousy tone-quality, unclear attacks/articulation, etc.
Put Warren Deck or Gene Pokorny or any really competent tuba player on these
"oom-pah" parts and you'll hear some great and fun music.
