Sean: Acoustics can be (is) heavily mathematical. Have looked through most of my technical library without finding material that the layman would want to wade through. Will seek non-technical sources that illustrate the pertinent concepts: edge effects, end corrections, directionality, and so on. If I can't find anything in the literature, then will post a brief explanation of these concepts in simple terms ... or maybe, if you prefer, write a little blurb for your FAQ section. Paul.
