First, thanks to everyone who has been so helpful in figuring out the differences between the Miraphone 186 and the 186S series. Great information, and you are all correct that playing several new horns beforehand is the only way to go, especially if I'm going to be paying the extra $$$ for a new horn.
But as I pack my bag to go see Charlie in South Bend, it occurred to me that there just might be a terrific horn down the block somewhere that I don't know about, possibly for considerably less money, hassle, etc. And I'd still get to play it before buying it if it's within 200 miles or so.
Anyone?
