I played one for about 2 years. I was using it to play the Tuba parts in a brass quintet (I am a Bass T-bone player and at the time I didn't have access to a Tuba). I haven't played very many quality Euphoniums, but I was very impressed by the way this horn played. It is a 4 Piston Valve Upright (3+1) Compensating Horn with a big full sound. It speaks very easily and has great intonation. The only problem I had with this horn is that the valves were sticky (the horn hadn't been used much before I got my hands on it). The owner of the horn kept it with him (don't blame him) and brought it to the quintet rehearsals so I didn't get much of a chance to work on the valves or to really run the horn through it's paces, but it was a joy to play.
