Aside from the fact that it is nearly impossible to find two such horns (both playing identically and one is lacquered and the other raw brass), I'd have to say that you're assertion is correct. To me, the values would be identical. Like I stated in the last post, cosmetics mean very little to me and I am not averse to the look of a raw brass horn with a nice patina. To me, paying extra for the lacquer would be foolish and I wouldn't do it.
Of course it costs the factory more money to produce the horn with the lacquer so they will charge for it. They just won't collect that money from me because it isn't worth it to me.
My opinion for what it's worth...
