If you present them with the flexibility to choose an excellent instrument for you, then I'm 100% confident you'll get an excellent instrument. But they will work within your budget and your stated desires. The 686 they sell you might not be the best instrument for you, but if they recommend it, they will do so because it's the best instrument that 1.) meets your requirements, and 2.) fits within your budget.

If you walk in determined to buy a 686, and you find them trying to nudge you in a different direction, then you should listen to their nudgings. If you don't, then they'll be happy to sell you the Cerveny even if they have misgivings about it for you. In the end, they will sell you what you decide to buy, because it's your money and your choice.
