I recently traded for an older Piggy and am very satisfied. Lee Stofer did an excellent job as usual on the overhaul. It was discovered during the work that it had an older style rolled leadpipe and hollow rotors(along with the old curvy paddles) with probably places it in the early 60's.

It was playing pretty well with the dented leadpipe and no solder on the bell and after the fix is more open and solid. It was so much different that I went looking for a better mouthpiece to go with it and ended up with a Jim Self Yamaha that seems to be a better match with the response and intonation of the "new" horn. Rotors are still a tight fit and the piggy is very consistent through all the registers.

Sounds great with quintet and bigger groups, has a full darkish, yet compact sound, and is very light to carry for strolling gigs. In it's Alteri bag, it's an easy haul.
