I have come across a martin sousaphone which a friend of mine had. I know nothing about these instruments so I was surprized that it was silver plate. It has decades of tarnish on it but I have uncovered the Martin marks on the bell. Can anyone tell me where, if there is one, the serial number may be and how I can identify how old it is? And, most importantly, what it may possibly be worth?
