AT YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD YARD SALE(S)!!! A euphonium friend of mine happened to be passing by a yard sale and saw a tarnished tuba for sale. He went up to the lady having the sale and asked how "much for the horn?" She said $10, he bought it, gave it to me, I had it econo overhauled for less than $100, and now it's one of my favorite tubas! It is an old Boosey and Hawkes 3-valve BBb but the valves were excellent and the plating still intact after the tarnish was taken off. I refer to it as my "$10 Tuba" and not by its Boosey and Hawkes name. :-)
