I was at the North Central division conference at the U of Cincinnati CCM and I had an amazing time!
I was sent by my director of bands to play in the intercollegiate band, with guest conductor Paula Holcombe. Paula was terrific and the music that she selected was spectacular! I am mainly talking about Daughterty's Red Cape Tango. Wow, what a fun piece!
I went to a majority of the concerts during the conference and there was not a group that played that did not sound terrific and not a performance that I did not enjoy!
CCM's facilities are top notch. I was extremely jealous and didn't want to leave when the conference was over. (though I found the windows and pipes in the practice room have a fundamental frequency of an F#)
Overall, I had a fun experience.

Matt
