The going rate for Miraphone 186's and Meinl-Weston 25's in excellent used condition is about that. For that price, it should require no repairs except for a good chem-clean. Bare spots on the lacquer are to be expected. A 186 or a 25 that is either new enough or that has been overhauled to look like new gets in the middle-to-high $3000's.

The important thing is that if you don't diminish its appearance, it should sell at least for close to that in a few years if you decide you want something different.
