Some of these generic substitute horns have drastic problems if you want consistency, good quality, and value for your money.

Being one of the many band directors that posts here; many of us have seen bad construction, incorrect valve slide and tube lengths, and poor lacquer/plating. Some horns are built to odd bore sizes, and most, if not all do not have a supply of parts behind them for repairs at the local repair shops.

Hating to sound like an old record, an older brand name horn will be better than a brand new oddity from the other side of the world.
