Don't know what's up but I must be bored not having football on a Sunday afternoon but I've been doing some channel jumping.

The Milwaukee PBS station keeps the geritol set happy on Sunday afternoons with the Lawrence Welk Show. After that was a movie with Guy Lombardo and His Royal Canadians called "Walking My Baby Back Home." When I channel jumped, the band's guitar player was playing an old bell front 3 valve baritone. They even had a big bell front tuba. Pretty unusual.

A few hours later I'm still channel surfing and this time the Discovery channel's "Mythbusters" show is on. They were taking on the myth of a trombone mute being loaded with fireworks during the 1812 Overture. They blew up a few trombones but came to the conclusion that it was a legend. Could have told them that since there are no muted parts in the 1812.

And some say there is nothing good on TV.
