Hello-
I was wondering how many graduate tuba students Mr. P takes usually? I'm currently looking into graduate schools and I'm very interested in IU but I'd love to get an assistantship or fellowship. Are the DMA's first considered for the TA or GA position or is it open to anyone? Feel free to email me privately; I have a lot of questions about the school in general too. I'm planning on visiting there over the summer but I'd like to know what its like for the tuba players from the tuba players. I know the ensembles are terrific but I'm just wondering what the finacial aid is like and how hard it is to obtain a TA or GA. I am going to try to get a Tuba assistantship but if that's not available, I would try to go after a theory position. Just let me know how it is.
