Ya know, now that I stretched the springs I'm starting to think that was a bad idea. ;) [rim shot] With that being said, I probably should have just purchased the Yamaha ones mentioned by Lee Stofer rather than "tweaking" my springs. What I don't like about my "tweak" is the fact that I stretched them too far. The valves are very responsive, but the pressure needed to press the valves is a little more than I would like. I will probably be calling Mr. Stofer in the next week or so...or whenever the cramps start setting in. :)

A word about Mr. Stofer: I too have had the pleasure of meeting him and having him work on my tuba. He is a great guy and a master craftsman who takes MUCH pride in his work.
