I played the MW18 at TMEA this past week. Nice tuba, great low range and big dark sound for a small 3/4. The Cerveny is too small for my accord and both Miraphones 1271 and 182 are nice as well and around the same price as the MW18.
I played a new Jupiter 4 valve rotary and was surprised. They used a 378 body and should have used the bigger model with the 704 bore. Linkage was good and valves were a lil slow but niceFor a small tuba it played well and had a big sound. the rotors were messed up and right by the bell making it hard to get the back caps off, impossible actually but a nice playing and sounding tuba. Incredibly good lower range.
