1/ Compared to traditional mouthpieces, the cup of a Helleberg style mouthpiece is more funnel shaped.
2/ Typically, Helleberg style mouthpieces have fairly flat rims and wide cup widths with medium-large throats.
3/ As these mouthpieces somewhat resemble super large versions of French horn mouthpieces, they support a "smoky" tone quality, rather than a "bright" tone quality.
