I really like the 2001's. The ones I have played have a really nice sound and good intonation. They are very responsive, and have a nice character throughout the range. Very comfortable ergonomically, and the valve placement is comfortable (I have larger-than-average hands).
I think you would see more of these being played by bigger name players if they were available at someplace like BB or Dillon's.
