I have decided to sell my silver 5/4 Hirsbrunner. This is a hand-made, five rotary valve instrument that was chosen from the first six that came to the U.S. in 1976. This is without question the best 5/4 Hirsbrunner that I have ever played. This is also the same tuba that I used to win the Utah Symphony position, and is the horn that can be heard on numerous Utah Symphony, Boston Symphony and Boston Pops recordings. Additionally, this is the instrument used on the Empire Brass, "Music of Gabrieli" recording.
I had a custom trigger built by Bob Osmun that is attached to the main tuning slide. The horn is in excellent condition and comes with a gig bag, a Hirsbruuner hard case and a custom made trunk.
The asking price is $14,000.
Please email me at: bydloman(AT)comcast.net if interested
