Mine had been rebuilt on several occasions, so it's quite hard to know who is responsible for what. It basically worked fine. It had the usual intonation problems, but it played warmly and with lots of sound. I had trouble playing softly with it, however, and that's what made it unsatisfying for my application. In terms of general construction, the 2xJ's from the 50's and earlier all seem to have better fit and finish, but again I don't know if this is a factory issue or subsequent abuse and repair.

I thought it was a lot of fun for what I paid for it (and for what I sold it for). I was just commenting that I believe it is an actual example of a 20J made in Abilene.
