When I was memorizing the Broughton the other day, I was having trouble with some isolated rhythmic parts. This sounds silly, but I started squeezing my buttcheeks together opposite to the rhythms I was playing so my whole body became involed in the music. It made the Broughton seem so easy that I even think an 8th grader could do it! I think some of these "off-beat" methods are fantasic. You just have to be careful when you're moving around so vividly that no objects could end up getting stuck in your horn or anything like that. Careful gyrating everyone!
